If you ever been to a Korean restaurant, you may see steamed egg on the menu. Sometimes we get them complimentary as part of our order.
About a month ago, a friend of mine gave me the recipe after seeing her delicious photo of the dish and I had to try it out myself one day. After a few trials, I tweaked the recipe according to my taste and now I make it at least once a week. Such a simple and an easy dish to make especially when you’re in a time crunch.
1/4t of salt
1/2 cup of water
Crack both eggs into a mixing bowl removing the egg yolk from the second egg. Add in the water, salt and dash of soy sauce then mix well. Add egg mixture into ramekin.
In a deep pot, place the ramekin in shallow water and cover. Steam the egg for 12 minutes on medium low, then add the scallion and sesame seeds onto the egg. Cover and steam for another 2-3 minutes.
Then remove from pot and serve. Enjoy!
